Anne Hathaway releases her first-ever official single, 'Burial', for 'Mother Mary' film

On 3/13/2026 at 7:37 AM, Enter Stage Rite said:

Anne Hathaway has stepped into the recording booth with a new role that goes beyond acting. The Oscar-winning performer has released a single titled Burial, a song tied directly to her character in the upcoming A24 film Mother Mary. The track marks Hathaway’s first commercial single and offers an early taste of the film’s musical direction.

The song accompanies Mother Mary, a dramatic story centered on a fictional pop icon played by Hathaway. In the film, the character navigates fame, identity, and complicated relationships while living under the intense glare of celebrity culture.

Burial serves as the lead single from the soundtrack album Mother Mary: Greatest Hits. The song was written by Hathaway in collaboration with several figures from the contemporary pop world, including Charli XCX, producer Jack Antonoff, and George Daniel of The 1975.

Musically, the track leans into a moody synth-pop atmosphere. The arrangement pairs dramatic vocals with layered electronic textures, reflecting the heightened tone of the story. In promotional clips for the project, Hathaway performs the song as her character, presenting the fictional artist Mother Mary through stylized stage imagery and music-video-style sequences.

Although Hathaway has sung in film before, including her Academy Award-winning performance in Les Misérables, Burial represents a different kind of musical release. Rather than a traditional film number, the track functions as a standalone pop single connected to the movie’s narrative world.

Anne-Hathaway-A24-Mother-Mary-Burial-First-Single-2.jpg

The film itself is directed by David Lowery and explores the intense friendship between Hathaway’s pop star and her former costume designer, played by Michaela Coel. Supporting appearances from performers such as Hunter Schafer and FKA twigs add to the project’s mix of music, fashion, and cinematic drama.

Mother Mary is scheduled to open in limited theaters on April 17, 2026, before expanding to wider release later in the month. The soundtrack album is set to arrive on the same day.

KISS - "Tokyo Went Crazy With KISS" (Tokyo Japan 1978)(Sonic Restoration 2026) Turn Me Up!™

For me personally the 1978 "ALIVE II" tour of Japan is the pinnacle of what we could enjoy from the original 4 before they split up. This show presented here is one of my all-time favorite audience recording of the band. Sadly the version out there is brick-walled and compressed to a pulp which causes listening fatique. I reintroduced peaks and valleys in the sound, recreate the transients and the soundstaging, re-EQ'ed the whole so it would sound as good as possible and it sounds like you were actually there in the audience. This recording became one of the best (Audience Recordings) out there IMO, if not only for the amazing performances and the wild participation of the audience.

Enjoy!

Recorded March 29th, 1978 at Budokan, Tokyo, Japan.

KISS - "Crazy Nights" (Remixed & Remastered 2026) Turn Me Up!™

Since long KISS fans have been complaining about the somewhat sterile production/mix for an otherwise great album. I do like the original, mostly because of the time that it transports me to whenever I hear "Crazy, Crazy Nights", "Reason To Live" or "Turn On The Night". But, yeah, it's kind of a whimpy, too poppy targeted sounding album too. So, I have tried to put some emphasis on the drums and bass, give the guitars a bit more grit, and kill off some of that screeching high pitched energy in Paul his voice all the time. This remix / remaster does have balls in comparison to the 1987 version. Which is a great album in itself.

KISS - "ALIVE! The Millenium Concert" (Sonic Restoration 2025) Turn Me Up!™

Alive! The Millennium Concert is a live album by the American hard rock band Kiss. It was released on November 21, 2006, as part of the Kiss Alive! 1975–2000 box set.

It was recorded on December 31, 1999, at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver, British Columbia[3] and included songs that had never before been performed by the original lineup ("Heaven's on Fire", "I Love It Loud" and "Lick It Up").

Based on the excellent reimagined and expanded album image by M.E.G. (‪@TheKISSMEGalodonCollection‬ ) in 2010 now for the first time ever with extended dynamics and recreated transients which makes it for a more 3D natural sounding listening experience, which also causes less listening fatique, so you can turn it up louder if you want.

Mick's original liner notes: "This is the official release. HOWEVER, I changed the tempo of each track to varying degrees without changing the pitch. In most cases this can leave some noise artifacts. In this case they are non-existant, or at the very least almost completely unnoticable. As you all know the Millenium disc is a very slow and sluggish performance. I think I've adjusted each track to a tempo which makes this disc a ton more enjoyable. 2,000 mann and god of thunder are included and mixed in with the other tracks. I switched the left and right channels on shout it out loud because it had ace's guitar in the left side whereas he is on the right side on every other track. It is now more uniform."

Newly XDR* remastered album.

LEE AARON - "A Box of VHS Tapes"

Ever since 1984 when I first heard "The Lee Aaron Project" album I was a huge fan of Lee Aaron. I gathered a lot of video via tapetrading over the years and last year I decided to restore and remaster the footage as best as I could. Hope you enjoy this as much as I still do.
